Carice Van Houten, one of Europe's best-known actors, is most likely best known because of her character "Melisandre" on the cult TV series Game of Thrones. For her performance in the show she was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2019. Carice van Houten's other projects include Paul Verhoeven's Valkyrie with Tom Cruise, and Bryan Singer's Black Book.
