Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actor, singer, and model. Her most well-known work is her part in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain as well as being the lead vocalist of Apollonia 6, a girl group. The singer and actress christened Apollonia by Prince was one of the many female performers in the 1980s that benefited from her connection with the Purple One. Born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959, her professional career began as a model and actress towards the end of the 1970s including an appearance in the television series CHiPS. Apollonia had the opportunity to release her debut album in the year 1988. Unfortunately, it did not leave an lasting impression on fans of music and soon faded from the scene. Apollonia remained in the spotlight (if a little under the radar) as an actress in the following decade, appearing in small film roles on television as well as releasing an exercise video. In 1997 Apollonia made a record in English and Spanish called Stay With me. Following her return to the university she earned a bachelor's degree in filmmaking and established her own business.
